A new home for match day
A new studio, a new screen
In 2024, Rádio Inferno was moving to a new studio and needed two animated screens for “Jornada Inferno”: a waiting-screen loop and a goal celebration. The radio supplied its brand guidelines, including typography, colors and application examples, and gave me freedom to develop the visuals.
I created the illustrations, composition and animation using After Effects and Illustrator. The depth and 3D effects were built with layers inside After Effects. Both screens were designed to run alongside the broadcast audio.
The Inter references inside the loop
I built the waiting screen as a grid of animated panels. Rádio Inferno’s name and icon share the screen with references to Internacional, including Beira-Rio stadium and the chant “Vamo Vamo Inter”.
One star arrangement represents Inter’s three Brazilian league titles, with laurels around the star for the unbeaten title. Another recalls the club’s Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup victories.
The waveforms come from the iconic commentary of Inter’s Club World Cup victory. I used the recording to give those panels their shape and movement.
A rotating globe, a football and a waving flag complete the grid. The panels change throughout the loop, bringing different parts of the composition forward while the broadcast waits to begin.

When Inter scores
For the goal celebration, I drew a storyboard to plan the sequence: a ball moving away from the viewer, repeated “GOL!” lettering, a cheering crowd and Rádio Inferno’s icon. The animation ends by revealing the broadcast underneath.
